Butter Idli

#Delicious, popular South Indian delicacy.. Hot Idlis.. served with dollop of butter.
Steps

Wash idli rice trice & soak for 6 hours,add 1 tsp fenugreek seeds also. Wash whole white urad 3-4 times in water and soak in enough water for 6 hours. First grind soaked white urad dal in wet grinder,after 10 mins,add soaked idli rice- fenugreek seeds,grind for 5 mins, add a fistful of washed poha & grind into slight coarse paste. Pour prepared idli batter in large vessel.. cover and let it ferment for 12-16 hours.

Add salt to fermented idli batter. Grease idli making moulds with oil, pour 1 laddle full of batter in each mould, place idli making stand in steamer/ pressure cooker.(At a time 12 Idlis will be prepared).

Steam for 12 mins..or till done. Serve hot Idlis with dollop of butter on each idli..with coconut chutney and sambhar.
