Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 1/2 kgPishori Rice
  2. 1/2 cupsalad oil
  3. 1 cupsliced Onions
  4. 1/2fresh ginger root crushed
  5. 5crushed cloves of Garlic
  6. 1/4 tspPilau Masala
  7. 1/2 kgpeeled Potatoes
  8. 1/2 kgmeat cubed and boiled
  9. 4 cupshot water or stock from cooked meat
  10. to tasteSalt

Steps

    Serve hot with Kachumbari and pilipili.

  2. 2

    Clean and wash the rice.

  3. 3

    Fry onions in oil till brown. Add ginger, garlic and pilau Masala.

  4. 4

    Fry for one minute then add Potatoes, meat and rice.

  5. 5

    Stir well and then add stock and salt. Cover pot and cook on medium heat.

  6. 6

    When food is nearly dry, turn down the heat to low.

  7. 7

    Cover and put a song charcoal on the top lid.

  8. 8

    Leave it to cook on low heat for 10 minutes.

  9. 9

    Enjoy with a cold glass of Tamarind juice.
