Soak masoor whole for 6-7 hrs.. Take a cooker, wash the masoor, put it in the cooker, onions, ginger garlic paste. Ginger garlic paste should be crushed with your hands and not in mixie. Now close the lid and give 5-6 whistles.

Now heat oil and crackle jeera, bay leaves, cloves black pepper, green chillies and hing. Add the masoor, add salt, water. Bring to a boil.

Now in a wok heat oil and add red kashmiri chilli powder and dried red round chilli. Spread it over the masoor and add butter and garnish with coriander leaves.
