Meethi Seviyan Meethi Seviyan
My mom would cook these for me mostly as an evening snack when I was in high school and would get back home from either after school tuitions or a game of cricket with friends. And every single time, I would absolutely gorge on them (and would be left wanting for more!). Believe it or not, I never got around to making them for years because I was too busy finishing my PhD (such sacrifice, right? :P). But now that I have done both (sigh!), sharing the deliciousness with you all :). Sunpreet Singh Arora -

Fusion kunfa Fusion kunfa
Seviyan (vermicelli) is a very popular traditional dessert, which is served during Eidul Fitr, Eidul Adha and other special occasions. In Pakistan eid is incomplete without the preparation of seviyan, whether it is dry or milky known as sheer khurma.Kunafa, on the other hand, is a popular Middle Eastern dessert. It is a delicious dessert with layered crispy pastry and sweet cheese, nuts soaked in syrup. It is crunchy on the outside, cheesy and gooey on the inside, and overall just delicious! My husband is not a kunafa person! He does not like the cheese or even one with ashta cream. So I decided to try something different and called it Fusion Kunfa. He liked it!Without seviyan there is no eid celebration. Make your favouirte meethi seviyan (dry one) and cool it. Since I used pre roasted seviyan, I didn't have to roast the seviyan much. However, if you use seviyan which is not roasted, then you will need to roast for some more time.Next just impress your guests and family by layering. In fact, sandwich your favourite ice cream between layers of seviyan and ending with ice cream on top to be garnished with nuts. Serve immediately as the ice cream will melt!#CA2025 Sarvat Hanif -
