In a hot deep bottom pan add oil and onions, cook until translucent, now add ginger garlic paste stir add cook for 2 minutes add coriander, salt, pepper and chilli powder and mix well, add tomato puree and cook for 4 minutes

Now add kidney beans stir in water, cover and let it cook for 15 minutes on medium heat. Turn heat off, rest for 10 minutes mix in lime juice garnish with coriander before serving

Serve with plain steamed rice and a dollop of yogurt, or with penne pasta or potato dumplings
