Steps

Soak the samba ravai and the dals separately or together for 2 hours

After 2 hours,first grind the chillies, jeera, fennel seeds,garlic,ginger to coarse powder
- 3
Now add the samba ravai and the dals along with the above step mixture and grind to fine paste. The dals should be slightly coarse.

Transfer the batter to a container add required salt and mix
- 5
Next step is to temper. In a kadai heat oil,add mustard seeds,Curry leaves,onion and fry till onions turns transparent
- 6
Now add the tempered onions and turmeric to the dosa batter and mix well
- 7
Pour a ladle full of batter on hot tawa and make circle,drizzle oil on all sides and cook on both sides
