Ingredients

  1. For sweet curd rice
  2. 1 cupSteamed rice
  3. 1/2 cupCurd
  4. 1/4 cupMilk
  5. 1/4 tspCardamom powder
  6. as neededAlmond soaked, peeled and sliced
  7. 5-6Saffron
  8. 1/4 cupSugar
  9. For south Indian curd rice
  10. 1 cupSteamed rice
  11. 1/2 cupCurd
  12. 1 tbspMilk
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. 1 pinchSugar
  15. For tadka
  16. 1Green chilli
  17. 5-6Curry leaves
  18. 1/4 tspUrad dal
  19. 1/4 tspGinger
  20. 1/2 tspMustard seeds
  21. 1/2 tspCumin
  22. pinchHing
  23. 1/4 tspGhee
  24. 4-5Cashewnuts
  25. Other ingredients
  26. as neededGreen coriander
  27. as neededPomegranate

Steps

  1. 1

    For sweet curd rice mix curd, sugar and milk in a bowl, mix it properly add rest of ingredients and put in refrigerator serve cool.

  2. 2

    For normal curd rice - mix curd, milk, salt and sugar in rice mix it well.

  3. 3

    Heat a pan add ghee in it..add mustard seeds, cumin, hing and Urad dal in it.. When Urad dal changes it's colour, add cashues, green chilli, ginger paste and curry leaves saute it and add this tadka in rice. Add pomegranate and coriander leaves in it. Put rice in refrigerator
