Beat the eggs with the sugar until fluffy.

Add the vegetable oil and milk. Do not overbeat the liquids.

Finally, add the lemon zest, baking powder, vanilla extract, and flour.

Butter or oil a cake pan and sprinkle it with sugar to prevent the cake from sticking.

Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour. Optionally, top with powdered sugar, melted chocolate, or anything else you like.
