Wash the rice 2 to 3 times. Now in rice add water, salt and cook untill they cook properly.

Now allow it to cool down.

In a pan heat oil. Now add mustard seeds, asafoetida, cumin, curry leaves, ground nuts. Roast ground nuts well. Now add Chilli powder,sugar, puliwagre masala and cooked rice. Mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

Now garnish with coriander leaves.
