Steps

Boil meat with salt and some garlic this enhances flavour

Boil 4 cups of water

Fry onions in the oil for a minute then add in salt. Cover with lid and cook over low heat. Remember the darker the onions the darker your pilau will be. Keep on checking to ensure its browning not burning till you get the color you want

Add in garlic and ginger paste and stir.

Add all your spices at this stage then let it cook for a minute

Add in your meat and stir you can increase your heat at this moment and add in the boiling water

Add your rice and let cook on high heat covered.

When the rice starts being tender and the water reduced, reduce to very low heat to let it dry and cook.

Serve with stew or salad of choice.
