Bella Dosai
I make this bella dosa usually on fasting days mainly on Shasti Viratham or Upvasa.On shasti people dont eat anything which has salt in it.
I prepare this delicious Bella dosa at night dinner time for my Husband.As he does not eat anything from morning on Shasti.

I make this bella dosa usually on fasting days mainly on Shasti Viratham or Upvasa.On shasti people dont eat anything which has salt in it.
I prepare this delicious Bella dosa at night dinner time for my Husband.As he does not eat anything from morning on Shasti.
Steps

Add 1/4 cup water to the jaggery and melt it on low heat.Filter it to remove impurities.Allow it to cool.

In a bowl,mix together wheat flour,smashed banana,cardamom powder and jaggery water (it should be lukewarm).Mix more water to get dosa batter consistency. Mix well as batter should be lump free. Batter should not be too thick or too thin.

Heat the tawa.Grease it with ghee.Once tawa is hot,reduce the flame to low.Take a ladle full of batter and pour it from outer corners and then at centre.Note we cannot spread the batter like regular dosas.

Drizzle a tsp of ghee around the dosa.Once corners starts lifting up carefully flip the dosa to the other side and drizzle ghee on it.This has to be done on low flame.

Once cooked on both sides,remove from tawa and serve hot.This dosa does not require a side dish it tastes good on it's own.
