Potato Kibbeh in a Tray

Soak the bulgur in water for about 15 minutes, then drain well.

Place the seasoning ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Add the bulgur and blend everything together well. If needed, add a little water.

Meanwhile, boil the potatoes until fully cooked.

Drain the potatoes and mash them with a little salt and black pepper.

Add the bulgur mixture to the potatoes along with the spices.

Knead everything together until it forms a dough-like mixture.

To prepare the filling, sauté the onions in olive oil until golden. Add the spices and stir.

Add the cooked chickpeas and mix with the onions. You can also add ground beef if desired.

Grease a baking dish with a little olive oil.

Spread half of the potato mixture evenly in the dish, then drizzle a little olive oil on top.

Spread the filling evenly over the potato layer.

Add the second layer of the potato mixture on top and drizzle with a little olive oil.

Cut into small squares.

Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
