Ingredients

10 mins
2 servings
  1. 1 lbmedium uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  2. 1/3 cuphoney
  3. 1/4 cupsoy sauce (can also be substituted with gluten free soy sauce)
  4. 1 tablespoonminced garlic
  5. Coconut oil or olive oil

Cooking Instructions

10 mins
  1. 1

    Gather ingredients

  2. 2

Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic together in a medium bowl.

  3. 3

Place shrimp in a large zipped-top bag or tupperware. Pour 1/2 of the marinade mixture on top, give it all a shake or stir, then allow shrimp to marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or for up to 8-12 hours. Cover and refrigerate the rest of the marinade.

  4. 4

Heat olive oil or coconut oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp in the skillet. (Discard used marinade.) Cook shrimp for about 5 minutes.

  5. 5

Pour marinade into pan. You will see the juices start bubbling and browning the shrimp a little

  6. 6

Place on high heat that way the marinade dries up and the dried up marinade starts browning the shrimp fully. You will see the pan looking kind of burnt but this is what will give the shrimp it's color and more flavor

  7. 7

Take shrimp off pan and also the excess dried marinade. Enjoy!
