  1. for katori
  2. 2 cupsAll purpose flour (maida)
  3. ¹/² tsp salt
  4. 2 tbspoil
  5. as neededWater to knead
  6. as neededOil for frying
  7. for katori chaat
  8. 1 cupblack Chana boiled
  9. 1potato, boiled and cube
  10. ¹/⁴ cup green chutney
  11. 1onion chopped
  12. 1tomato chopped
  13. ¹/² cup tamarind chutney
  14. ¹/² cup tomato sauce
  15. 1 tspcumin powder
  16. ¹/² cup sev
  17. as requiredFew coriander leaves
  18. 1 tspchaat masala
  19. as per tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare maida dough by adding salt,oil and water in maida and knead it.

  2. 2

    Pinch a ball sided dough and flatten it. Dust flour as required and roll slightly thick. Prick the flattened dough with fork.

  3. 3

    Place a small katori and wrap the dough.Trim off excess making sure the dough has covered well. Deep fry in hot oil.Fry till it turns golden and crisp.Drain off over kitchen paper and keep aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare chaat by assembling katori in a plate.

  5. 5

    Add in chana, potato,onion and tomato.Mix well.Put it in the katori.Now put ½ tsp green chutney, 1 tsp tamarind chutney, 1tsp tomato sauce and 1 tbsp curd.

  6. 6

    Also sprinkle cumin powder and salt.

  7. 7

    Garnish with coriander leaves and sev.
