Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  1. 500 gramssmall fava beans, cooked
  2. 250 gramschickpeas, cooked
  3. 4 clovesgarlic, crushed, or to taste
  4. Juice of 1 1/2 lemons
  5. 1 tablespoonsesame tahini
  6. 1 cupolive oil, preferably extra virgin
  7. Salt and cumin to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed garlic, cooked fava beans, and half of the cooked chickpeas. Mash them together until partially mashed.

  2. 2

    Add salt, cumin, lemon juice, tahini, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, and 3 tablespoons of the fava bean cooking liquid. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Transfer the fava bean mixture to a serving dish, top with the remaining chickpeas, and garnish with finely chopped parsley. Enjoy!
