Alkali is a snack made from wheat, cow milk and other ingredients. Mostly made in the royal houses in the north. It is so inviting snack to who knows it. The taste of alkaki can only be understood by who ate it😍😍😋😋. Also Alkaki can stay for long up to one year and even more. This depends on how it is prepared.
Tank u very much @zubaidah_isah 😍😍

Steps

2 days😄😄
  1. 1

In a plastic bowl, combine the crushed wheat and wheat flour together. (You can use the powdered wheat gotten from grinding as wheat flour)

  2. 2

    Add oil and rub

  3. 3

Add cow milk. Stir in the milk to completely combine with the wheat.

  4. 4

Knead to form a thick dough that hardly cooperate. It would soften later by it self so don't make a watery dough and do not over knead, just combine it to a dough

  5. 5

Cover it tightly and keep in a warm place for 4-6 hours or over night. It wouldn't rise, but it would be as soft as you can easily squeeze a piece of the wheat with your fingers

  6. 6

Put a portion out of the dough in a mortor

  7. 7

    Add little water🤗

  8. 8

Beat well with pestle until very soft and sticky 😇

  9. 9

Add more drop of water by the way🤗

  10. 10

See how the interior looks softer than before

  11. 11

Rub oil in your hand, take 2 table spoon of the dough and roll it on an oily surface

  15. 15

Heat oil in a pan, dip alkaki and fry in a low heat

  16. 16

Turn sides occasionally. Continue in a low heat till golden brown

  17. 17

SUGAR SYRUP boil water and sugar in a pot until it thickens and sticks. Add lime juice, stir and remove from heat

  18. 18

When alkaki are well fried, put them in sugar syrup or honey and allow them to soak over night or for some hours

  19. 19

    Ready to be served😋😋
