Heat the oil in a pressure cooker then add the cumin seeds, pepper, bay leaf, cardamom and cloves and fry it for 2 seconds

Now add the onion and fry until it gets light golden colour

When the onion is in golden colour add the rice

And also add the chilli powder, garam masala powder, green peas and salt to taste and roast it for 1 minute

Now add the water and closed the lid and cook it till two whistles in the pressure cooker.

Matar pulao is ready to eat.
