Steps

Wash the rice till the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for atleast 15 minutes.

Cook the rice till done but not mushy. Keep aside.

Keep the cauliflower in salt water for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse it with clean water and keep aside.

Heat oil in a cooking pan. Add curry leaves, whole red kashmiri chillies and asafoetida. Add onions and fry till the onions are translucent.

Add ginger and garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes.

Add tomatoes and salt and cook till the tomatoes become soft and mushy.

Add turmeric powder and kanda lasoon masala and saute for a minute.

Add the cauliflower and little water and cover and cook till the cauliflower is cooked.

Add cooked rice and gently stir fry for few minutes. Off the flame. Cauliflower Pulao is ready. Serve hot.
