Ingredients

  1. 175 gsoftened butter
  2. 200 gsugar
  3. 1 tbspvanilla essence
  4. 2 tbsprum
  5. Pinchsalt
  6. 5eggs
  7. 250 gflour
  8. 50 gcornflour
  9. 2 tspbaking powder
  10. 100 gcocoa powder
  11. 2 tbspapricot jam
  12. 150 gplain chocolate icing

Cooking Instructions

    Heat the oven to 180'C.

    Cream the butter, and the sugar, vanilla essence, rum, salt and eggs, one at the time.

    Stir well.mix the flour, cornflour, baking powder and cocoa powder and add to the mixture, a spoonful at a time

  4. 4

    Pour the mixture into the baking tin and bake for 1 hour.

  5. 5

    Warm apricot jam brush it with jam and leave to cool.

  6. 6

    Melt the chocolate pour it over the cake
