Ingredients

5 servings
  • 1 cupharbhara daal / gree lentils
  • 4-5Garlic cloves
  • 1 tbspJeera powder / cumin
  • 1 tbspRed chilli powder
  • A pinchTurmeric powder
  • 1 tbspSalt
  • 1 tbspHing powder / asafoetida

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak harbhara dal in water for 5-6 hours.

  2. 2

    Drain water from dal and grind it with garlic cloves coarsely.

  3. 3

    Add turmeric powder, hing, red chilli powder, salt and jeera powder. Make sure salt is less than normal. Sandge will reduce in quantity after drying.

    Take a plastic sheet and make small balls of the mixture.

    Dry it under sun for 2-3 days.

  6. 6

    It will be ready. You can use sandge by frying and and adding in curry.
