We the people of Odisha celebrate our new year on the day of Maha bishuba shankranti which is on 14 th April on each year. On this auspicious occasion we prepare so many types of panas like bel pana, chatua pana and dahi pana and also offer it as prasad and then drink it. It is a traditional summer special drink of Odisha. Dahi pana is nothing but a mixture of curd, fruits and sweets and is little bit thick also than lassi.

Beat the curd well without any lumps and keep it aside.

Mash rest of the ingredients (except water) with your clean hand.

Then mix beaten curd, sugar and water in it.

The quantity of all the ingredients is totally depend upon you.

Your dahi pana is now ready and then serve it by garnishing some grated coconut.

Consume it immediately otherwise it must be sour in taste.
