Ingredients

4 servings
  1. For Dal
  2. 1 cupTuvar Dal
  3. 1 tspRed Chilli Powder
  4. 1/2 tspTurmeric Powder no
  5. 1 tbsp Jaggery Grated
  6. 1 teaspoonlemon juice
  7. to tasteSalt
  8. 5 cupsWater
  9. For garnishing
  10. 2 tbspFried Peanuts
  11. 2 tbspFresh Coriander
  12. For Dhokli
  13. 1 cupWheat Flour
  14. 3 tbspBesan
  15. 1 tspAjwain
  16. 1/2 tspTurmeric Powder
  17. 1 tsp Oil
  18. Salt as per taste
  19. For Tempering
  20. 2 tsp Ghee
  21. 1 tspCumin Seeds
  22. 1 tspMustard Seeds
  23. 8-10Curry Leaves
  24. 2Red whole chilli
  25. 1/4 tspHing
  26. 1 teaspoonwhole dry coriander
  27. 1/4 tspRed chilli powder

Steps

  1. 1

    In pressure cooker add wash dal, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, and water.

  2. 2

    Cook it until dal is soft.

  3. 3

    Add jaggery and lemon juice in the dal and mix well.

  4. 4

    For Dhokli
    Take bowl add whole wheat flour, gram flour, salt, oil, ajwain and turmeric powder.

  5. 5

    Make soft dough like chapati with help of water.

  6. 6

    Make small balls from the dough and roll to make a thin chapati.

  7. 7

    Cut the chapati into small pieces of any desired shape.

  8. 8

    Add the pieces in the cooked dal.

  9. 9

    Cook it on medium flame until the dough is cooked properly.

  10. 10

    For Tempering
    Heat ghee in a pan.add
    ghee, hing, cumin seeds and mustard seeds.

  11. 11

    After few seconds add curry leaves and green chilli, whole dry coriander and fry for a few seconds.

  12. 12

    Now off the flame. Add red chilli powder.

  13. 13

    Now pour the tempering over the dal. Mix it slowly.

    Garnish the dal dhokli with fresh coriander and fried peanut.
