Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  • Mini Churros
  • 2 1/2 cupsall-purpose flour (about 300 grams)
  • 1 3/4 cupswater (about 440 ml)
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • Powdered sugar
  • Sunflower oil
  • Hot Chocolate
  • 4 1/2-5 ozColacao powder (about 130-140 grams)
  • 1 1/2 cupsmilk (about 350 ml)
  • 1level tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoonbutter (about 15 grams)
  • (no sugar needed)

  1. 1

    Heat the water with the salt in a saucepan. When it comes to a boil, pour it into a bowl with the flour. Mix for about 5 minutes using a large spoon.

    Fill a piping bag fitted with a small tip. Fry the churros in sunflower oil over medium heat once the oil is fully heated.

  3. 3

    When the churros are golden, drain them on paper towels. (Be careful, they cook very quickly.)

  4. 4

    For the hot chocolate, melt the butter in a medium saucepan. Once melted, add the tablespoon of flour and whisk. Quickly add the milk and whisk well to avoid lumps.

  5. 5

    When it starts to boil, add the Colacao powder. Set the heat to medium-high and whisk almost constantly until it thickens, about 8-10 minutes. Ready to serve.
