#myfavouriteeasterdishcontest...these crossed buns are traditionally eaten on good Friday in Australia,UK, SA and many others, I tried them for the first time and I loved the outcome, though I still need more practise

In a basin add all the dry ingredients and mix

Add eggs and water to make dough
- 3
Add raising and cinnamon and mix well with the dough cover and let it rest till it doubles in size

Punch it down on floured surface, cover and let it rest for 10mins

Shape into balls and place in a greased tray, cover and let it rest in a warm place till it doubles for about 40mins

Mix egg yolk and brush on balls

Bake at 180degree for 20mins, remove from tray and let them cool on a wire rack

To make crosses, mix icing sugar, vanilla and milk, place glaze in a piping bag or polythene paper and snip off the corner, pipe a cross onto each roll

Enjoy with a cup of tea
