Parotas with Chili, Salt, and Lime
Steps
- 1
First, cut the parotas and place them in a pot with enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and cook until tender.
- 2
Once cooked, remove the white almond-like seed from inside the parota.
- 3
Rinse the seeds thoroughly with water and extract the edible green part from inside the almond. This is what you will eat.
- 4
Enjoy the parota seeds with salt, lime, and chili powder, or just with salt and lime.
- 5
Note: Discard the outer shell and the pink part of the almond. Only eat the green part you remove at the end.
