Mix cornflour in 1 cup water in a bowl. Make sure there are no lumps.

Boil sugar and remaining water in a kadhai till the sugar dissolves completely. Then add lemon juice. Stir well. Add cornflour mixture and keep stirring constantly till u get a transparent texture.

Then add cardamom powder and mix well. Add food colour of your choice.I added pink colour. Mix well once again. Then slowly add ghee and dry fruits and mix till the halwa starts leaving the sides of the kadhai.

Immediately transfer the halwa in a square greased container. Garnish some melon seeds and pista on top. Let it set for 3 hrs at room temperature. Do not refrigerate.

After 3 hrs invert the halwa on a plate. Cut in small squares and serve.
