This is a traditional recipe of andhra fish fry which everyone would love. Goes well with hot steamed rice,dal and rasam. The main trick here to get a perfectly cooked masala and fish coated well with it is the method of cooking by flipping the pieces and drizzling with little oil all over every now and then. Coarsely ground masala paste further enhances the flavour.

Wash and clean the fish with salt and turmeric and keep aside. Grind the onions with red chillies and cumin with sufficient water to a coarse paste.

Heat a sauce pan with 2 tbsp of oil and add the paste. Saute for few minutes. Add salt,sugar,turmeric and tamarind paste and curry leaves.Mix well. Now gently place the fish peices

Flip in few seconds.Drizzle little oil all over.

Cover and cook for few minutes

Open now continue cooking. Keep drizzling oil and flipping the peices till the fish is nicely cooking with the masala.Drizzle with lots of chopped coriander.
