Firni is a very popular North Indian dish. Firni is one such yummy sweet dish which is loved and enjoy by everyone. Firni is usually prepared during festivals like Eid. What makes this rice delicacy different from kheer and other dessert is the rich and creamy texture. My family love to eat it every time. Firstly, soak basmati rice for at least 2 hours

Discard the water and blend rice to coarse paste keep aside

Now in a large pan boil milk stir occasionally and simmer for 10 min

Keep the flame on low until milk change it's colour

Now add in prepared coarse rice paste

Stir continously for 5 min else, pumps might form
- 7
Simmer for another 5min stirring in between

Boil the milk till the rice gets cooked completely

Add sugar

Mix well till the milk thickens and turn creamy

Add in cardamon powder and mix well

Finally, serve chilled Phirni garnished with few chopped nuts
