Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, add the flour and sugar. Gradually add the shortening and mix well, kneading with your hands.
- 2
Once the ingredients are somewhat combined, slowly add the Coca-Cola as needed.
- 3
Continue kneading until the dough no longer sticks to your hands.
- 4
When ready, let it rest for 30 to 40 minutes.
- 5
After resting, roll out the dough in parts, or make small balls and flatten them with a tortilla press.
- 6
On each 'tortilla', add 1 tablespoon of jam, fold it, and place it on a greased and floured baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper.
- 7
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes.
- 8
While still hot from the oven, roll them in the sugar mixture.
- 9
They're ready and delicious!
- 10
While baking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
