Ingredients

  1. 1 cupGreen Peas
  2. 2Onion (Sliced thinly)
  3. 4Green chilli (Slit lengthwise)
  4. 1 tspGinger (Chopped finely)
  5. 1 tspGarlic (Chopped finely)
  6. 1Tomato (Chopped cubed)
  7. 2 tbsp- Oil
  8. 3/4 cup- Water
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. Masala ingredients
  11. 1/2 tsp- Turmeric powder
  12. 1 tsp- Chilli powder
  13. 2 tsp- Coriander powder
  14. 1 tsp- Garam Masala powder
  15. 1/2 tsp- Pepper powder
  16. Garnish
  17. 1spring Curry leaves
  18. 1/2 tsp- Garam Masala
  19. 1/2 tsp- Whole pepper crushed

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak Green Peas overnight.

  2. 2

    Wash the green peas well. Pressure cook green peas for 1 whistle. Keep aside.

  3. 3

    Heat a pan. Add in oil. When it is hot add onion and saute till slightly golden brown.

  4. 4

    Add in ginger,garlic,green chilli,curry leaves and saute for a minute.

  5. 5

    Now add in tomato and saute well or till tomato turns soft.

  6. 6

    Once tomato is done add in masala ingredients and saute for a minute.

  7. 7

    Add in green peas and water,salt. Cook in medium heat for about 5-6 minute.

  8. 8

    Once the gravy thickness or reaches the required consistency,add in the garnish ingredients.

  9. 9

    Cook for again 1 minute. Remove from stove.

  10. 10

    Enjoy hot green peas Masala curry with chapati / idiyappam / puttu /appam / parotta !!!!
