Ingredients

  • 3 cupsall purpose flour
  • 3tspn baking powder
  • 1/4 cupsugar
  • 375 mlbeer (I used whitecap)
  • 1/4 cupmargarine (feel free to use butter)
  • If using butter add 1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Whisk dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl

  2. 2

    Add beer and half the margarine

  3. 3

    Knead to a soft dough, shape in to a ball and comer in bowl with plastic wrap

  4. 4

    Set aside and let lest rill dialed in size, approximately 30 minutes

  5. 5

    Beat dough down, shape and transfer to a prepared bread tin.

  6. 6

    Preheat oven to 175 degrees

  7. 7

    Cover with kitchen cloth and let eat for another 30 minutes.

  8. 8

    Met the remaining half of your margarine and pour it over your dough

  9. 9

    Bake in the preheated oven at 175 degrees for 45 minutes

  10. 10

    To check for doneness, insert a skewer and if it comes out clean, your bread is ready

  11. 11

    Enjoy warm with your favorite accompaniment!
