Rinse the fish pieces well after rubbing them with salt and turmeric.

Mix salt, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, chickpea flour, and lemon juice with the fish pieces. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.

Add red food coloring, then heat oil in a nonstick pan and shallow fry the marinated fish pieces.

Sprinkle chaat masala and black pepper, and serve with sliced onions, lemon wedges, tomatoes, green chilies, cilantro, and mint chutney.
