Steps

Wash daal and keep aside,now in a cooker add 3 cups of water,add salt and turmeric,garlic and ginger,boil it,add daal and let it boil till daal soft

Now in a pan heat ghee add cumin,saute chopped onion

Now mix spice and chopped tomatoes,add 2 tbsp water and cook by stirring,cook till all ghee start to seprate from mixture

Now mix daal and start to stirring till a mashy,boil for a minute and serve
