This is a traditional recipe of Odisha. The literally meaning of sajana sagaw is the drumstick leaves. Drumstick leaves are the rich sauce of iron, vitamin E and Ke and also a good sauce of calcium.

This is a traditional recipe of Odisha. The literally meaning of sajana sagaw is the drumstick leaves. Drumstick leaves are the rich sauce of iron, vitamin E and Ke and also a good sauce of calcium.
Steps

Remove the leaves of moringa from the branches.

Boil the moong dal with a little salt and water and keep them aside.

Heat a Kadai and put oil in it. Then put the punch photon in it. When the mustard from the punch photon starts cracking then add the garlic cloves which are mashed slightly and also add the dry chilli.

When all the mustard crackles and the garlic cloves change it's colour then add the washed moringa /drumstick leaves in it.

Mix it well and then add salt and boiled moong dal in it and mix it well.

Again cook it for 3-4 minutes without covering any lid. After that it is now ready and switch off the flame.

Serve hot with rice, dal as a side dish.
