Ingredients

  • 5-6Sweet potato
  • marination
  • 2 tbspOlive oil
  • 7 to 8 finely choppedGarlic pods
  • 1 tbspChillie flakes
  • 1 tspTamarind paste
  • 1 tspRed chilli sauce
  • 2 tspMint leaves chopped
  • 1 tspCoriander leaves chopped
  • 1/4 tspRock salt
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tspTandoori masala
  • dip
  • 2 tbspThick curd
  • 1/4 tspChilli powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • as neededFew mint leaves chopped

Steps

  1. 1

    Parboil the Shakarkandi,remove the skin and slice them diagonally

  2. 2

    In a big bowl take olive oil,chilli flakes,garlic,chilli sauce

  3. 3

    Add mint and coriander leaves

  4. 4

    Add tamarind paste, salt,rock salt,tandoori masala and mix

  5. 5

    Add the sliced Shakarkandi and marinate for 30 min.Then heat a coal and smoke the Shakarkandi (place the hot coal in middle and pour little ghee and cover)

  6. 6

    Grill the Shakarkandi on a griddle

  7. 7

    Mix all the ingredients of the dip and place in a dish

  8. 8

    Serve warm garnished with some coriander leaves along with our dip
