Ingredients

20 minutes
2 servings
  • 2 cupsflour
  • 3 tablespoonchilled butter
  • 1/4 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/4 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 2/3 cupwater
  • Oil for frying
  • For the Meatpie fillings
  • 2medium sized Irish potatoes
  • 3Habanero
  • 1medium sized onion
  • Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoonGaram Masala
  • 2boiled eggs

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    In a bowl seive your flour. Add salt, baking powder and mix.

    Add the butter and mix thoroughly. Add the water and make a thick dough. Cover and allow to stay for 10 minutes.

    Peel the potatoes and cut into small sizes. Wash and stir fry in a little amount of oil. Add chopped Habanero and onions. Add Garam masala and seasonings and stir fry for 3 minutes. Slice the boiled eggs and keep aside. Allow to cool totally.

    Sprinkle little flour on the floor and kneed the dough. Divide into three. Take one and roll it very flat. Using a cutter or anything knife, divide it into tiny strips. Rub some water and keep aside.

    Roll the second half very flat. Gently be placing the stripped flour on the flat flour and press gently. Use a cutter and cut into circles. Keep aside

    Roll the third dough very flat. Cut using thesame cutter as shown below. Then out 1 heapful tablespoon of the fillings.

    Cover with the stripped shape flour. Stick the edges with hands or fork. Fry in a boiling oil till golden brown. Enjoy
