Ingredients

  1. 1 cupYellow Mustard
  2. 3⁄4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic
  3. 2 tablespoonsChili Powder, Organic
  4. 3⁄4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper, Organic
  5. 1 teaspoonGround White Pepper, Organic
  6. 1⁄4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper, add another 1/4 teaspoon for spicy bbq sauce, or remove altogether for very mild sauce
  7. 1⁄2 cup Sugar Substitute, a stevia sugar, like truvia. I tried splenda, taste was off
  8. 1⁄2 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  9. 2 tablespoonsUnsalted Butter, Organic
  10. 1 tablespoonLiquid Smoke Flavoring

Steps

  1. 1

    Add mustard, Truvia, vinegar, chili powder, and peppers to a sauce pan. Cook over medium heat until it begins to bubble slightly. Then, reduce to low and let simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Do NOT cover!

  2. 2

    Add the last ingredient to sauce and simmer for about 10-15 more minutes. Allow the sauce to completely cool before bottling. Store in fridge overnight before use to allow flavors to blend.
