To make Chicken Bharta, first fill a pot with water and heat over medium heat. Once the water is hot, add the chicken, bay leaves, cloves, green cardamom, and black cardamom. Add a little salt and boil until the chicken meat separates from the bones.

Next, heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Then add ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and cumin powder with a little water.

Add this spice paste to the pan and cook, stirring continuously, for 3 to 5 minutes. Then add the finely chopped tomatoes and salt.

Once the masala is cooked, add the chicken. After 3 to 5 minutes, add yogurt, cashew paste, butter, garam masala, and dried fenugreek leaves. Mix well, cover, and cook for 4 to 7 minutes.

Your delicious Chicken Bharta is now ready.

Turn off the heat and transfer to a bowl. Garnish with boiled egg, sliced onion, and chopped cilantro.
