Boil water in a utensil and put soak rice, salt and lemon juice in it. When the rice gets cooked then turn off the gas stove and strain the rice with the help of a strainer.

Put water, rajma, salt and turmeric powder in a pressure cooker and cook the rajma until it gets soft and then turn off the flame.

Grind the ginger, garlic and green chilli. Put onion in a mixer jar and make a puree. Put tomato in a mixer jar and make a smooth puree.

Heat oil in a kadai and put cumin, mustard, fennel seeds, dry red chilli and asafoetida, clove in it. When they start to splutter then add onion puree and saute it for few minutes. After few minutes add tomato puree and all dry spices and saute it for few minutes.

When the tomato start to loose oil then add some water and cook it. Add cooked rajma and rajma masala powder in it and mix it well. After few minutes add coriander leaves and mix it well and turn off the flame.

Your rajma-chawal is ready to serve.
