Ingredients

  • Hake Fillets
  • 100 gflour
  • 2eggs
  • Table salt and pepper
  • oil
  • 4Large Potatoes
  • Bacon (preferably bacon bits) fried
  • 1 tablespoonButter
  • 1/2Milk
  • Cheddar Cheese

Steps

Prep/ Total Time 30-45 mins
  1. 1

    Place potatoes in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until tender.

  2. 2

    Add the milk, butter, salt and pepper for seasoning and the mash. After mashing add the bacon to the mix.

  3. 3

    Beat eggs in shallow dish or bowl until well blended. Stir in milk. Place flour in another shallow dish. Dip fish fillets in egg mixture; dip in flour to coat.

  4. 4

    Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add fish; cook 5 to 7 minutes or until golden brown and fish flakes easily with fork, turning once. If desired, season to taste with salt and pepper.
