Ingredients

45 - 60 minutes
  1. I used about 3.5kg of crab (cleaned and chopped)
  2. 2 kgtomatoes (liquidised)
  3. 1onion (sliced)
  4. 10green chillies
  5. leafCurry
  6. Methi seeds (pinch)
  7. Jeera seeds
  8. Mustard seeds
  9. Garlic
  10. 5 TablespoonsChilli powder (change according to taste)
  11. 1 teaspoonjeera powder
  12. 1/2 teaspoongarum masala
  13. 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  14. to tasteSalt
  15. 1 Tablespoonground ginger and garlic
  16. 1/2 teaspoontamarind (I used the liquid one)

Steps

45 - 60 minutes
  1. 1

    Fry onions, ginger and garlic chillies, garlic, curry leaf, methi seeds, jeera seeds, mustard seeds in oil.

    Once fried, add chilli powder, garum masala, jeera powder, turmeric powder and braise for a few seconds.

  3. 3

    Add cleaned crab, mix, lower heat and allow water to come out of crab. Once the water has dried out a bit, add in tamarind and mix.

  4. 4

    Then add tomatoes and salt. Mix and allow to cook on medium heat. Once chutney thickens, remove from stove.
