Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoonsvegetable oil
  2. 12chicken thighs boned and trimmed
  3. 2carrots chopped
  4. 2 cupscorn
  5. 2onions chopped
  6. 1 clovegarlic chopped
  7. 1 teaspoonpepper
  8. 1 teaspoondried dill
  9. 1 teaspoonsalt
  10. 1and a half cups of water
  11. dumplings:
  12. 1 cupall-purpose flour
  13. 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  14. 2 teaspoonbaking powder
  15. 1egg
  16. 1 cupmilk
  17. 1/4 cupchopped fresh parsley

Cooking Instructions

    Heat the oil in a saucepan over high heat, saute both sides of the chicken thighs (about 3 minutes each side). add the vegetables and seasoning, toss and add the water, bring to a boil, cover the saucepan and let simmer.

    In the meantime make the dumplings. Combine all of the ingredients to make a lumpy dough. Once the stew has cooked for 30 minutes, drop the dough into the stew 1 tablespoon at a time, cover and let simmer for 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the dumplings comes out clean
