Ingredients

  1. Poundcake (homemade or store bought)
  2. 2 lbsstrawberries
  3. 1large lemon zest and juice
  4. Sugar to taste (depends on how sweet your strawberries are)
  5. Whipped cream

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash, destem and quarter strawberries

  2. 2

    Zest the lemon

  3. 3

    Juice the lemon

  4. 4

    Put quartered straberries in a bowl add sugar, zest and lemon juice. Put in refrigerator for a couple hours.

  5. 5

    Slice poundcake (I like to toast mine in the toaster oven), top with strawberries and whipped cream.
