Steps

Place the minced meat in a clean pot and place it on the burner. Keep stirring to avoid burning until it dries up

Add all the seasonings in no special order, add the diced potatoes and onions and water, mix and cover to boil for 10 minutes

Add the diced carrots and allow to boil another five minutes and add the corn flour paste. Stir well and bring down from fire

While the filling cools down, make the dough

Add all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix

Break up the cold butter into the dry ingredients and rub in until it looks like bread crumbs

Gradually add the cold water, mixing until a stiff dough is formed

Cover dough with cling film and refrigerate for 10-20 minutes

Roll out the dough and cut into desired shapes and sizes (I used a cookie cutter

Fill in the dough, rub the outer sides with egg wash to serve as a sealant and press down with a fork

Wash the pies with the remaining egg using a baking brush tool (it doesn't have to finish. Avoid pouring the eggs on the pies)

Bake for 45 mins to one hour, until the pies are golden brown

Enjoy together with your small chops and any beverage of choice
