I was trying to use up some of the odd ingredients from our CSA and threw together this cole slaw.

Creamy Cole Slaw similar to KFC with a kick.

My mom used to make this as a side dish for pot lucks and family meals. The condensed milk gives it a creamy texture. I used rice vinger to give just a hint of flavor without being overpowering. It does require overnight refrigeration so that the milk gets creamy. Otherwise, it's too watery. #GlobalApron condensed milk week 1

This dish can be changed with the drsssing or vegtables as there different types of cole slaws that vary by region

I have to admit I'm a big Food Network fan. I watched an episode with Bobby Flay and he made this amazing citrus coleslaw for his seafood tacos. Super easy and delicious!

Very good basic coleslaw recipe. You could take this in a million directions.99% of the time I use tarragon vinegar.

Always thinking of ways to keep my diet low carb but still enjoy things at least similar to the "traditional" versions I love. Potato salad is one of my favorite things but I'm still trying to even keep potatoes low on my diet, so in steps rutabaga, which I've used to make fries before and loved, so why not a potato salad substitute? You can add any extra mix-ins you want (I like adding bacon and cheddar cheese too) but this is just the basic starter version.#June2026
