Ingredients

  1. 1 Cupfrozen shelled fava beans
  2. 3 Cupscleaned Broccoli rabe
  3. 4crushed garlic cloves
  4. 3anchovie fillets in oil
  5. 1/4 cupolive oil
  6. 1/2 cupParmesan cheese
  7. 1 lbfusilli pasta (1 box)
  8. 2 Tblssalt

Steps

    In a large pot bring water to a boil. In the meanwhile trim the broccoli rabe by snapping stems off, leaving florets and about an inch of a stem with a leave.

  2. 2

    Blanch the broccoli(no more than 1 min) in the boiling water and set aside. Keep the same water for cooking your pasta.
    In a large pan heat the oil and add anchovies and garlic, simmer until anchovies melt.

  3. 3

    Add the broccoli rabe and fava beans into the pan and stir until well incorporated. When your pasta will be cooked (al dente!) with the slotted spoon add your pasta to the pan with broccoli and fava bean mixture

  4. 4

    Mix well, add half cup pasta water and keep mixing on a high heat for about a minute. Shut off the heat and add Parmesan cheese and extra olive oil. Mix well and serve.
