This is a light curry and goes very well as a side dish with any Indian flat bread or simply with rice and dal.Cook on low flame as very little sprinkling of water is needed to soften the vegetable or microwave.

Wash bhindi and drain water completly.Pat dry and cut them into 1 inch size pieces.Cube pumpkin.Heat mustard oil and sprinkle kalonji.When they splutter,add chopped onion and fry till transparent.Add pumpkin and fry for sometime.Then add bhindi and toss.Add turmeric,red chilli powder,salt and sugar to taste.Sprinkle some water and cook on low flame.Toss and cook till dry. Option is to microwave high power for 2 minutes after adding all spices to the vegetable.Serve with roti or rice.
