Ingredients

  1. 1 cupmoong daal
  2. 1 bunchbramhi leaves
  3. 1 bunchamaranatha leaves
  4. 2tomatoes
  5. 1gooseberry sized tamarind
  6. 3-4Green chillies
  7. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric powder
  8. 2red chillies
  9. 1 teaspooncumin and mustard seeds
  10. 1small onion sliced
  11. 1 tablespoonoil
  12. To tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash moong daal, add 3 cups of water, washed and chopped green leaves.

    Add green chillies, tomatoes, tamarind and turmeric, pressure cook for 4-5 whistles.

    Add salt and mash the cooked daal.

    Heat oil in wok add mustard and cumin seeds. Add red chilli and onions. After onions are done add mashed daal cook for 5 to 10 minutes.

    Serve hot with rice
