This recipe is made with 2 key ingredients, one iron rich spinach and second protein rich split bean. This quick, easy and health dish go perfect with paratha, roti or any Indian flat bread.
Steps

Wash & soak mung dal & wash spinach leaves & chop it.

Heat oil, add asafoetida and then spinach & dal.

Mix well, after few minutes, add salt and rest of masala,mix well and let it cook on slow flame, till mung dal properly cooked. Cover vessel half with lid.

If you wish,you can add garlic and tomato when cooked, then keep gas on for few minutes then turn off gas and serve hot.
