Ingredients

  • 4 cupscherries deseeded
  • 1 tspbutter
  • 1.5 tbspbrown sugar
  • 3eggs
  • 1/2 cupflour
  • 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 2 tbspbutter
  • 1 tspvanilla extract
  • 1 tspCinnamon powder
  • 1 cupmilk
  • 2 tbsppowdered sugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and deseed the cherries.

  2. 2

    Grease a baking dish with butter and sprinkle 1.5 tbsp sugar all over it's surface.

  3. 3

    Place the cherries in a single layer of the baking dish.

    In a bowl add eggs, sugar, vanilla essence and cinnamon powder and whisk till sugar dissolves.

    Add 2 tbsp of melted lukewarm butter into the batter.

  6. 6

    Add flour into the batter and mix well.

  7. 7

    Finally add milk and mix well.

  8. 8

    Pour this batter over the cherries in the baking dish.

    Put in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for around 30 minutes or till the edges turn golden brown.

  10. 10

    Take it out and let it cool. Sprinkle powdered sugar over it and serve warm.

  11. 11

    You can serve it with a dollop of ice cream.
